Popular Bollywood filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confirmed that his debut TV production will launch on Star Plus in the coming weeks.
Whilst details of the new show are sketchy, reports suggest it will have a Gujarati backdrop based around a middle class family and its two daughters. Due to circumstances, the family will split with a few members staying in India and others having to settle abroad.
Chetan Pandit and controversial actress, Monica Bedi will play the leading parts in the ambitious project.
Bhansali is renowned for making some huge Bollywood blockbusters including ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Devdas’. He has ‘Rowdy Rathore’ releasing later this year starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
