Sanjay Leela Bhansali miffed with Deepika Padukone?

Deepika Padukone’s latest bold photoshoot seems to have irked her director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Padukone recently released photos of her shoot for Maxim magazine where she was crowned Hottest Woman of the Year 2017.  The pictures were sensual and steamy and whilst they garnered a lot of praise for Padukone, she also received some flak from certain sections of social media for wearing ‘revealing’ clothes and showing too much skin.

According to AsianAge, it seems that Bhansali is also one of those who was not too impressed with the actress’ daring choice as he feels it would create more trouble for their upcoming release ‘Padmavati’.  The film has already faced backlash when the set was vandalised and Bhansali himself was physically attacked following protests from locals in Jaipur.  Whilst the director has not provided any statement on this, Bhansali is keen not to face any more troubles and feels the bold pictures may antagonise people again.

‘Padmavati’ is scheduled for release in November and also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
