Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in good health, despite a burst of online rumours claiming the filmmaker had suffered a heart attack. The speculation spread quickly after unverified posts suggested he had been rushed to hospital shortly after his 63rd birthday, prompting concern among fans and industry colleagues. His team moved swiftly to shut down the claims, confirming that nothing of the sort had happened and that Bhansali had simply attended a routine medical check‑up.
In a clear statement, his spokesperson said the reports were “completely false and baseless”, adding that Bhansali had not experienced any health emergency and was “healthy and safe”. The statement read, “Reports about SLB being hospitalised are completely false and baseless. There is no truth to them. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not experienced any health emergency and is healthy and safe.”
