Sanjay Leela Bhansali dedicates ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ to Lata Mangeshkar

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has confirmed that he will be paying tribute to the late singer, Lata Mangeshkar, with the release of his next ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

A tribute card will appear before the credits in the film. Talking about this, Bhansali said, “It’s my small humble tribute to a talent that has no limits, no boundaries. Whenever I compose a song I think of Lataji. I ask my singers to follow her voice. She will remain my inspiration and guiding light for as long as I make movies.”

Mangeshkar passed away at 92 last weekend. In a statement from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital said, “It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalization post COVID19.”
