Sanjay Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit to recreate history on ‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’

Sanjay Kapoor made his Indian television debut with the diverse ‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’ on Star Plus. The actor who will be seen tying the nuptials on the show, will be shaking a leg with none other than his ‘Raja’ (1995) co-star Madhuri Dixit, for his sangeet sequence.

As according to Mid-Day, the pair will be performing on their hit song, ‘Akhiyaan Milaoon Kabhi’ from ‘Raja’, and it was none other than producer Vikram Bhatt who convinced Dixit to be a part of the sequence. A source revealed, “It was Vikram’s idea to extend an invitation to Madhuri. He bounced it off Sanjay, who was happy to match steps with his former co-star again. Madhuri will shoot for the sequence in a few days. She has already begun rehearsing. It’s fun to see Sanjay and Madhuri reunite for the song. The episode will air later this month.”

Kapoor also shared his excitement on performing with Dixit again, saying, “It’s special for me. People still remember the song and its steps. It will be a nostalgic moment for me to recreate the song with Madhuri on TV.”

‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’ stars Smriti Kalra in the lead alongside Kapoor, and also features ‘Tum Bin 2’ (2016) fame Aashim Gulati.
