Sanjay Dutt’s role extended in ‘Zanjeer’

His role as Kaancha in ‘Agneepath’ (2012) was very well received by audiences, and now the makers of ‘Zanjeer’ have decided to extend Sanjay Dutt’s role as the villain Sher Khan, due to audiences wanting to see more of Dutt playing these types of characters.

“Yes! He has given us extended dates and we are going to shoot in February. We are very excited about the film. I am really happy to work with Sanju Sir again after Shootout in Lokhandwala (2007),” Times of India reported producer and director Apoorva Lakhia confirming.

The re-make of the 1973 film, will also star Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra. Though it looks like it is Dutt’s representation of the role that was originally played by veteran actor Pran, that is the talk of the town, “No one can play Sher Khan better than Sanju,” added Lakhia. And it looks like many agree.��
