Sanjay Dutt’s prison release date confirmed

As recently reported by BizAsia, Sanjay Dutt is set to be released from prison after serving a long sentence in Yerwada Jail in connection with the Mumbai 1993 blasts. ��While a number of dates have been speculated, it is now confirmed that Dutt will walk free on 25th February.

Hindustan Times quote Dutt’s publicity agency as clarifying��in an official statement, “Dutt, who has been serving the remainder of his five-year term in Yerwada will finish his term on February 25th, contrary to the media reports that have been stating various dates of his release.”

The actor qualified for early release owing to his good behaviour and work during his time in jail.

It is expected that Dutt will be back to working as an actor quite soon after his release. Filmmakers such as Vidhu��Vinod Chopra have already announced that they are writing scripts with the actor in mind. ��It can also be noted that Raj Kumar Hirani will be directing a biopic on Dutt’s life.
