Sanjay Dutt to turn director in 2021

As well as bagging some of the most interesting roles that come his way, it seems Sanjay Dutt is ready to don another hat.

If news is to be believed, the actor will be turning director in 2021 in a film that is already being worked on.

“It’s a historical film. It’s about my ancestors – the Mohyals, they were the Hussaini Kshatriya Brahmins who fought the War of Karbala for the grandson of the Prophet,” Cineblitz reports Dutt explain. The yet untitled film is still in its early stages.

However Dutt has already decided he will be playing a role on the film as well. “I will be playing Rahib Sin Datt who led the Mohyals. The film is currently in the writing process, as we will have to take permissions and work out the logistics,” he said.

In the meantime, Dutt is gearing up for the forthcoming release ‘Kalank’.
