Sanjay Dutt supports equality for women

Sanjay Dutt has been reported saying that women should be given equal treatment and there should be no delay in this.

Deccan Chronicle reports Dutt saying, “There should be a change and I stand for women because I have two daughters and sisters. I think people should start respecting and there should be equality in everything for women.”

The 16th December Delhi rape case had been worrisome for Dutt, he was reported saying that “There should be a faster justice in place. We should give more importance to issues like this. When I heard about the case, I didn’t sleep for 10 days. I don’t think the girl has got justice yet. They say that the boy was a juvenile so that’s not justice.

Dutt was arrested for illegal possession of weapons in a case linked to the Mumbai serial blasts which took place in 1993. More than 250 people were killed and hundreds were wounded. Dutt shared that the Hindi film industry stood by him during the most difficult chapter of his life. “I never felt alone even during the dark phase. The industry was together and supported my family and me. More than me, it’s because of my dad’s (Sunil Dutt) goodwill that people were around me to support” said Dutt

Dutt will next be seen on the silver-screen in the revenge drama ‘Bhoomi’ which has a father-daughter relationship, releasing very soon!
