Rumours are rife that Sanjay Dutt has regret losing Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla’, based on the Spanish thriller ‘Contratiempo’ as its dates clashed with Dutt’s flop film ‘Bhoomi’ (2018).
A source told The Asian Age, “Dutt had a look at the script, but he was offered Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi around the same time. He realised that both films were revenge dramas, and so he had to choose one over the other. He opted for Omung’s film, but sadly, it turned out to be a huge flop despite it being his first release after getting out of jail.”
‘Badla’ now stars Amitabh Bachchan, along with Taapsee Pannu and has the backing of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Dutt has ‘Torbaaz’ and ‘Sadak 2’ in the pipeline.
