Sanjay Dutt to play his own age in next titled ‘Malang’

Set to grace the screens in a lead role again, news has it that Sanjay Dutt will be playing a man of his own age, in the film titled ‘Malang’.

Marking his directorial debut, the film will be helmed by Aarambh Singh. Talking to the media, Times of India reported the filmmaker stating, “It’s a romantic film with Sanjay sir but that doesn’t mean I will make him run around the trees. We are not showing him as a young lover boy, he is playing around his age. Love and romance can happen at any age. We will give a new definition to love through this film.”

“We only had Sanjay sir in mind for this film. In the film his character will have various shades but when he meets a woman cop he introduces himself as a simple man,” Singh went on to add.

Still in its early stages, it has been revealed by the report that the project is set to go on floors at the end of this year. With the details of the film schedule being planned out, the makers of the film are still on the hunt for a leading lady. It is not yet known if they will go with a fresh face, or someone who has been an on-screen romance to Dutt before.
