Sanjay Dutt & Ekta Kapoor to team up again?

Now that Sanjay Dutt is out of jail, rumours are rife that he and Ekta Kapoor are set to work together again on the Shootout project. It was due to start in 2008, but for unknown reasons didn’t happen.

A source said, “Sanjay Gupta is keen to take his Shootoot franchise ahead with Balaji Motion Pictures. It has been tentatively called ‘Shootout Reloaded’.” When contacted, Gupta said that this is “not true”.

It’s been reported that Ekta paid Dutt a huge signing amount, which she didn’t recover until 2014, after which reports surfaced that she filed a legal notice against the actor to recover the sum.

However they issued a joint statement denying such rumours. The statement read, “contrary to the article, there is no ongoing dispute of any kind between us. Shobhaji/Ekta and Sanjay share a very good personal and professional relationship.”
