Box Office: Sanjay Dutt biopic postponed to June 2018

Sanjay Dutt’s highly-anticipated biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor is facing more delays in release.

Fox Star India tweeted the following, “The no-holds-barred story of Sanjay Dutt, directed by @RajkumarHirani, #DuttBiopic releasing on June 29! A Fox Star Studios presentation, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and #RajkumarHirani. #RanbirKapoor”

This will be the second time the film has been postponed. The project was initially aimed to be in theatres in December, 2017. Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer ‘Baaghi 2’ has been preponed to the biopic’s March 30, 2018 release date by distributors Fox Star Studios.

The film, tentatively titled ‘Sanju’ also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Tabu as iconic Bollywood personalities who played an important role in Dutt’s life.
