Sanjay Dutt & Arjun Kapoor in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next?

Ashutosh Gowariker is back on the big screen after Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ (2016). He is reported to be all ready with his next film, an historical war drama, which will be set between the 16th and 18th centuries. Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt have reportedly been locked in for the project.

Mirror reports that the film will have three real-life battles played out, and will have Kapoor in the leading role, playing an Maratha warrior. Sanjay Dutt also has a major role in the film, and the final details are being worked out. A source revealed, “Last week, Sanjay and Arjun had a long meeting with Ashutosh at his Khar office and the trio locked the details of the project. The script is in its final stages of fine-tuning and recce has been underway for the last few months.” Gowariker had earlier mentioned that he was very keen on working with Dutt, and was writing a role with him in mind.

While there has been no leading lady that has been finalized yet, Sara Ali Khan is rumored to be a running candidate for the role, as she was also spotted outside Gowariker’s office, and the director has also supposedly dropped by the sets of Khan’s debut film, ‘Kedarnath’.

Kapoor was last seen in ‘Mubarakan’ (2017), and Dutt in ‘Bhoomi’ (2017).
