‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ to be affected by #MeToo allegations?
Yash Raj Films’ upcoming release ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ is likely to be affected after director Dibakar Banerjee was dragged into the #MeToo movement.
Banerjee has been accused by Payal Rohatgi of sexual misconduct going back to 2011. She alleges that he had tried to take advantage of her by asking her to lift her shirt and show him her stomach during one of their meetings, according to Mid-Day.
‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’, which stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, is due to release in March next year. However, it is not yet known if the film will release on time.
In the last few days, a number of other leading names have been linked to sexual allegations as a part of the #MeToo movement, including, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl, Subhash Kapoor, Kailash Kher and Sajid Khan.
