Sanaya Irani not a part of ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3’

Rumours emerged earlier this week that Sanaya Irani had replaced Shivani Tomar in Star Plus’ much awaited ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’.

Since the announcement, Irani fans have been dismayed at the decision of Tomar being lined up opposite Barun Sobti. Fans may recall, it was Irani who was paired along with Sobti in the original series back in 2011.

Irani who is seen as one of the finalists in ‘Nach Baliye 8’ was said to have bagged the female lead in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ but this has been denied by the producer, Gul Khan. Talking to BizAsiaLive.com , she said “Its not true.” The show is already on the floors and is expected to go on-air at the end of this month on Star Plus.

Irani was expected to star in Sony Entertainment Teleivsion’s ‘Kavya Ki Prathna’ but she exited the project after several delays. In an interview with Raj Baddhan on Monday, producer Yash Patnaik refused to comment on reports about the show but BizAsiaLive.com understands that the show has been scrapped. Patnaik is set to announce a new project at the end of this month.
