Salman to pay tribute to Reema Lagoo at IIFA 2017

Salman Khan is set to pay tribute to his popular on-screen mother, Reema Lagoo, who passed away last month.

The actress, known to play Khan’s mother in films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (1989), ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ (1994) and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (1999), will be given a special tribute at the event in New York next month.

Khan was cited saying, “Reemaji had played my mother in some films, starting with ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Off-screen, she was like a friend with me. She was a lovely human being. It feels like I’ve lost my onscreen mother.”

Officials at IIFA said, “We will dedicate certain moments in the performance for Reema Lagooji.”
