Salman: “A lot of pain in undergoing physical transformation”

At the recently held ZEE Cine Awards, Salman Khan opened up about the difficult process entailed in transforming his body for ‘Sultan’ (2016).

Reported in the Times Of India, Khan who played a character of a young Haryana wrestler in his hay day, then seen as an ageing retired wrestler, meant he had to go from being fit to being unfit by putting on a few extra pounds.

Of course to be authentic, body transformation is part of the job. Khan explains how he is now undergoing a similar process for his upcoming films.  “There is a lot of pain in undergoing physical transformation. I have been training for Tiger Zinda Hai and there is another film that I am training – it’s a dance film (referring to Remo D’Souza film). For ‘Sultan’, I was 96 kgs. I have shed 18-20 kgs.”
