Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case appeal hearing deferred until mid-July

Salman Khan’s appeal against the hit and run case has been deferred today by the Bombay High Court to 13th July.

The actor is appealing against the five-year sentence, which was ruled in May. NDTV reports that although the evidence and documents are ready, Khan’s counsel Amit Desai urged for three weeks’ adjournment to check whether the documents were in order. He also said that he would need to check whether translation of any document in vernacular language is required to be done in English.

Khan’s sister Alvira Khan represented the actor in court.
