Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’ title forced to be changed?

With Ali Abbas Zafar’s next ‘Bharat’ set for release in the coming days, it seems the film has been dragged into controversy over its title.

Times News reports that a PIL has been filed in Delhi High Court against the film, which states that the word ‘Bharat’ cannot be used for commercial purposes. The petitioner states that the title violates Section 3 emblems and names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act.

The film could be forced to change its name after it was alleged that the current title hurts the patriotic sentiments of the ‘Bhartiya’ (Indians) people.

‘Bharat’ is scheduled for release on 5th June 2019.
