Bollywood veteran actor, Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, who is debuting in Bollywood with ‘Second Hand Husband’, crushed all rumors that her father asked Salman Khan to launch her into the industry.

“It was said that my dad asked him [Khan] to launch me. But it is not true. That was just a rumor. I was never going to be launched by him. It [the rumour] was all created by media”, she told DNA.

In 2007, she had accompanied Khan to the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), which had triggered speculations that she would enter into Bollywood soon. There were also reports that Khan would launch her in ‘Dabangg’, blockbuster which was directed by Abhinav Kashyap in 2010.

As Khan launched actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Dabangg’, things had allegedly turned to acid between him and Govinda. “I have met him just two-three times. I was too shy to talk to him. I don’t know what to talk to him. He is my father’s friend, not mine”, 26-year-old-actress said.

She has also expressed a desire to work with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Hollywood star Tom Cruise.

Her first film ‘Second Hand Husband’ is a directorial of Smeep Kang which also stars Gippy Grewal and Dharmendra. It is set to be released on 3rd July.
