Salman Khan tops tax payers list

Salman Khan has become the highest tax payer in the Hindi film industry churning out a humongous Rs. 8 crores for quarter ending September 2012.

His last film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), which passed the Rs. 200 crore mark, was one of the main reasons behind the tax jump. Last year during the same period, the actor paid Rs. 5 crores.

Akshay Kumar was the next big tax payer, dishing out Rs. 7.5 crores, Shah Rukh Khan – 5 crores, Katrina Kaif – 2.6 crores, meanwhile Aamir Khan was down slightly from 4.50 crores last year to 3.25 crores.
