With the Indian Premier League set to add a ninth team to the franchise next year, rumours are rife about Bollywood star Salman Khan keen on bidding for it.
The Hindu reports that the ninth team based in Gujarat, is being mooted by the BCCI as a strategy to recover losses it incurred while hosting the tournament in the UAE.
DNA India reports that among the big bidders for the team include business tycoon Gautam Adani, along with South film superstar Mohanlal and Bollywood superstar Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla are co-owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders, while Preity Zinta is one of the owners of the Kings XI Punjab franchise.
