Bollywood actor, producer and director Sohail Khan is planning his small screen debut with a TV series to be directed by Vikas Bahl. If reports are to be believed, then Sohail’s brother and superstar Salman Khan will also do a cameo in it.
According to PTI, the story of the series will be about an aspiring actor from a family, which has a filmy background. When Bahl narrated the idea to Sohail, he agreed to play the lead in the series. “The show is about an aspiring actor who is trying to make it big in Bollywood, but fails repeatedly. However, since he belongs to a well-known family from Bollywood, he keeps getting launched and re-launched.” a source said.
It has also been reported that Sohail’s other family members Arbaaz Khan and Salim Khan will also be seen in an extended special appearance in the series, alongside Salman. “The concept is still being developed. But Sohail’s real family Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and even father Salim are expected to do cameos in the series. They will be seen playing his reel-life family members with ‘Bhai’ taking care of things if a film of Sohail’s character fails.” the souce added.
Later, the news is confirmed by Sohail himself. He said, “Vikas is a dear friend of mine. He asked me if I am cool doing something on TV. I said yes. He’s fine-tuning the concept and things will be confirmed by February next year.”
However, the name of the TV series and other information regarding it has not been revealed yet.
