Salman Khan speaks out against social media negativity

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are in full swing promoting their upcoming film ‘Bharat’, however Khan has found himself caught up in fan based hostility towards singer Sona Mohapatra.

Reported on TOI, Mohapatra received death threats from one of Khan’s fans. Speaking out about the social media negativity, the ‘Tubelight’ (2017) actor said, “When you know that someone who is commenting on your photo has a false identity, you simply ignore him/her and there is no need to give them undue importance.”

Khan added there needs to be more done with stop people creating a social media account under a false ID. “One needs to have their identity to join a platform like this. With the real identity, one would be cautious, and the language will improve.”

Further adding, “Right now people think that there is a curtain and no one knows their real identity. But it would take only 5 minutes to track them.”

Speaking about the fights that occur between fan clubs, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015) actor shared it’s usually the actors who face the brunt. “Fan clubs fight with each other and they are one ones who end up getting abused.”
