Salman Khan has many titles under his belt; actor, painter, producer and singer. However, as the three former titles are those of his passions, the fourth seems more of a hobby.

Having taken up singing many time throughout his career, Khan has expressed that he just does it for fun, and has never really thought of taking it up as another job role. Even as his recent song ‘Mein Hoon Hero Tera’ from his forthcoming production ‘Hero’ has flown to the top of the charts, the actor doesn’t believe he’s much of a singer. “Singing is not my next love after painting. I am just doing it for fun. I can’t sing to save my life. If you ask me to sing the same song right now I would not be able to do it. Even if I try to sing it on TV it will not sound the same. However, if I am in a studio and they the music composers sing every line in front of me, I can mimic that and sing it,” NDTV reported the actor stating.

In saying this, Khan was asked why he thought of singing a song himself in the first place. To which he replied, “In films, we have playback singers. People know it is Sonu Nigam or Kumar Sanu, I just wanted to have my own voice there and that’s the reason why I decided to sing.”

Produced by Khan himself, ‘Hero’ will star debutantes Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. The film is set to hit the big screens on 11th September.
