The verdict of Salman Khan’s 2002 hit-and-run case has been delivered a short while ago by the Mumbai Sessions court. The actor has been pronounced guilty of all charges including culpable homicide, BizAsia can confirm.
Khan, who left the shooting of his film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in Srinagar to be present in court, has been found guilty of running over five men in the case which is now 12 years old. He could now face upto 10 years behind bars. He has maintained that he was not behind the wheel, accusing his driver Ashok as being responsible just a few weeks ago.
Lawyers, police, court officials and Khan’s family were the only ones allowed in court apart from him himself. There is tight security surrounding the area as the case grips the world of Bollywood.
