Salman Khan to pay distributors money due to poor earnings in ‘Tubelight’

Salman Khan is reportedly all set to help the distributors who lost their money because of the below expectations performance of ‘Tubelight’ (2017) at the box office.

Much like any other Khan release, his last Eid offering ‘Tubelight’ was also a highly anticipated movie. It was sold at a huge sum to the distributors and when the Kabir Khan directed movie failed to perform as per the expectations at the box office, the distributors were left upset over the massive losses that they suffered, reports DNA India.

While ‘Tubelight’ failed to impress Salman’s passionate fans and the critics alike, reports say Salman has now decided to come forward to help those distributors who’ve incurred losses because of the poor box office performance of the film.

As per various reports, the star plans to refund the losses of the distributors because of his film. Apparently, the distributors are contemplating to meet Salim Khan to discuss the way forward. A report quoted a source as saying, “Distributors will meet Salim Khan today to discuss the matter. Salim saab and Salman are contemplating returning nearly Rs 50-55 crore to them so that they don’t bear the brunt much.”
