Salman Khan offered Rs 100 crore for film
With Salman Khan being the actor most in demand, filmmakers are throwing silly money at him for a guaranteed success at the box office.
Mid-Day reports that director Ramesh Taurani of Tips has offered the Bollywood hunk a mind boggling Rs 100 crore for his next film. If this deal does go through then Khan will become the most paid actor in the film industry.
A source said, “As expected Ek Tha Tiger has sent the cash registers ringing and many filmmakers have been seen visiting Salman۪s residence to make a film with him. However, Taurani, who has earlier worked with Salman and has had him signed since the past couple of years, is very keen that they do a film together.
A couple of days back, he met Salman and offered him Rs 100 crore for a film. Taurani is aware that the actor۪s last three films have done business near to Rs 150 crore net and that۪s why he is ready to take the gamble.”
Taurani denied the news and said that Khan had already signed a film, which they will begin working on in 2013. He said the money offered to the actor was nowhere near what the reports had said.
