Salman Khan objects to Sooraj-Athiya intimacy in ‘Hero’

Salman Khan has objected to any intimate scenes between his protegees Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in ‘Hero’.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the actor turned producer has cut out a “brush of the lips” scene in the song ‘Khoya Khoya’ from the film.

Director Nikhil Advani told the publication, “It was just a peck… A brush of the lips… But even before I could see it, Salman did, and insisted on editing it out. His argument was that in all these years, he had never kissed on screen, so there was no reason for his ‘children’ to lock lips.”

On working with Khan, Nikhil said, “I was his fourth call. The first was to Subhash Ghai asking for his permission to remake his 1983 love story, Hero, the next to inform Sooraj that he would be launching him as a hero, the third to Athiya to ask her if she’d be his hero’s heroine and the fourth to me, telling me that I was going to make the film for him.”

‘Hero’ releases on 11th September.
