Salman Khan keen on acting in Marathi film

After playing a cameo in Riteish Deshmukhs’s Marathi venture ‘Lal Bhaari’ (2014), Salman Khan is willing to essay a leading character in a film of the same genre.

When asked if he would like to essay a leading character in a Marathi film, Khan told IANS, “Oh definitely, I would love to do a lead role in a Marathi film.”

After playing the cameo, Khan has realised that Marathi cinema has a lot of potential and it has been ignored so far. “I love Marathi cinema. It has been ignored for a very long time. This cinema can touch great heights and it is important to spread as much awareness as possible,” he said.

In another connection with the Marathi film fraternity, it has been reported that Khan has planned to remake Mahesh Manjrekar’s 2010’s hit film ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho’.
