Salman Khan: “I have no interest in doing a Hollywood film”

Salman Khan 1

Salman Khan said that he is not interested in trying his hands in Hollywood films as there will be a language factor. He admitted that his image and reputation is set in India and he has no plans to do it all again.

“I like to work in India a lot and I like to deliver dialogues in Hindi. Suddenly, after Hindi dialogues for so many years if I say dialogues in English, it would look a bit weird. I’m very happy here,” Khan told Hindustan Times, when asked if he would be interested to work in Hollywood.

“They (Hollywood) work extremely hard but we don’t need to work that hard here. I’ll have to establish respect again and when I’m already receiving so much respect here then why? We work for respect; it’s taken so many years to earn respect here; so I don’t see any point,”

The Sooraj Bharjatya directed film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015), has earned Rs. 250 crores worldwide and Khan is extremely happy with the response. He feels that Bollywood needs to grow that much as there will be no comparison between them and Hollywood. “The Hindi film industry should grow so much that there should not be any comparison between them (Hollywood) and us. Our film has broken the records of films there and that is a moment of joy for everyone. And that’s what we want that everyone should be happy,”

“If it’s a film related to us (Indians), I might do it but I don’t have any interest or craze for it,” he concluded.
