Salman Khan follows in SRK’s footsteps

'Jai Ho' inspired by 'Happy New Year'?
'Jai Ho' inspired by 'Happy New Year'?

Yesterday Salman Khan was very quick to mock Shah Rukh Khan’s injury, it seemed. At a promotional event he implied that Shah Rukh had used his injury as publicity to take eyes of of his film ‘Jai Ho’ which released today. However, in an interesting development, Salman has also turned to luring the fans with personalised ‘Jai Ho’ posters just like the ‘Happy New Year’ social media campaign did when the first poster was unveiled earlier this month.

On Twitter today, whenever there was a hashtag mention of ‘Jai Ho’, one would see Salman’s official account tweeting a poster of his poster with a personalised message at the bottom. One wonders whether this was a last minute decision for the day of release or whether there was some inspiration from the social media importance that ‘Happy New Year’ used to cause a stir.

As today is Republic Day, Salman’s poster message is believed to have read, “This Republic Day, remember you don’t need to wear a uniform to serve the country”.
