Salman Khan ensures Bollywood has just one Alia

With Alia Bhatt riding high in Bollywood, superstar Salman Khan has ensured that no other new actresses that enter the Indian film industry have the ‘Alia’ name.

Kiara Advani, who’s real name is Alia Advani, was asked to change her name by Salman who knows Kiara’s mother quite well.

Talking to Hindustan Times, ���Actually, Salman sir and Ashvini (Yardi; co-producer) came up with the name together. I also liked it instantly. More than anything else, I feel it has been done for the audience�۪s convenience, so that they can differentiate between the two actors. So, from now on, I will officially be known as Kiara, and not Alia. I am happy with Salman sir�۪s suggestion.�۝

The actress also said she had met up with Alia Bhatt sometime ago and laughed about the name issue, ���I met her some time back and we had a good laugh about it.�۝

Kiara stars in ‘Fugly’, which releases on Friday 13th June.
