Salman Khan to ensure ‘Bharat’ is bigger than ‘Race 3’ at box office

After the average response to ‘Race 3’, Salman Khan is ensuring he takes control of his next ‘Bharat’ to give it a bigger run at the ticket window.

The Asian Age reports that ‘Race 3’ was expected to do business of around Rs. 400 crore but it finished its run at Rs. 180 crore. Khan is said to be brainstorming ideas intensely to ensure ‘Bharat’ strikes gold.

A source told the publication, “A lot of the problems stemmed from Race 3’s shoddy script. This time, Salman and team have spent more time writing than they have in any other film. In terms of political resonance, Bharat will be Salman’s most important film yet, and so director Ali Abbas Zafar is consulting with eminent historians to get detailed information about post-partition India.”

The source added, “Salman can’t afford to get any details wrong in Bharat. If he slips up, he won’t be spared by academicians, intellectuals and activists. So he is being extra-cautious.”
