Salman Khan does not understand how people predict Box Office figures

As Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has finally hit cinemas worldwide for its slated Diwali release, many trade analysts, industry-insiders and fans have been predicting what figure the film may reach on its opening day.�� However, Khan fails to understand how anyone can predict the numbers.

Times of India quote Khan as saying, “How can you predict that so many people are going to watch the film?�� Till the time the advance bookings have not started, how would you know? … Who knows when people want to watch the film? Maybe people don’t want to watch it on the first day.�� Maybe they want to watch it on the third day… How can people predict a number?�� I don’t understand this… I think the only films that do well are the films where people are impatient to watch it.�� Fortunately, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is�� one such film.”

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ marks Khan’s reunion with the director who launched him as a leading hero.�� The duo went on to do two more films together post their first but are reuniting after a gap of 16 years.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ also stars Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher and Armaan Kohli.
