Salman Khan denies rumours of joining politics

With election fever gripping India, it seems rumours of Salman Khan joining politics haven’t gone down too well with the superstar.

Rumours started after the Congress party in Indore said it was trying to approach Khan on behalf of the party. The spokesperson of state Congress Party Pankaj Chaturvedi was cited saying, “Our leaders have already talked to Salman Khan to campaign for us in Indore. We are almost certain the actor will campaign for us.”

Khan outright denied the rumours. He said, “Contrary to the rumours I’m not contesting elections nor campaigning for any political party.”
