Salman Khan breaks down in court after verdict

Salman Khan has reportedly broken down in court after being sentenced to five years in prison.

The actor was accompanied in court by his sisters Alvira and Arpita and brother Arbaaz Khan. They all were said to be in tears in the courtroom.

He was convicted in the 2002 hit-and-run case in the early hours of the morning.

Judge D.W. Deshpande said, “You were driving the car,” adding Salman was under the influence of alcohol and behind the wheels without a licence. He said all charges stood proven.”
