Salman-Aamir not in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel despite Dilip Shukla’s confirmation?

A few days back writer Dilip Shukla spoke to the media and said Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are on board with a sequel to ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994). However, other reports are circulating that the producer of the film, Vinay Sinha, denies this being true.

Shukla spoke to Deccan Chronicle and confirmed that Salman and Aamir are on board. “I am writing the sequel. It is not easy to pen a sequel. I have to bring something more attractive in comparison to the earlier one. The sequel cannot be complete without Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. They will be there along with three other new cast members,” he said. But according to a source and Sinha himself, this is not the case. The source said, “Dilip was writing Andaz Apna Apna but whatever he wrote did not go in sync with producer, Vinay Sinha’s vision. For now, Sinha has been keeping unwell. Shukla may still be writing the script but what makes him say that Aamir and Salman will do the film?”

Rumours are also circulating that Shukla himself may not be on board the film if his final drafts don’t get approved. “People should talk only if they are officially a part of the sequel,” added the source, as reported by Spotboye.

“Importantly, Aamir and Salman have not even been sounded off about this project, leave aside having been approached. To say that two big actors are in a film without any basis is nothing but irresponsible,” concluded the source.
