Salim Khan on celebrating Eid without Salman Khan

Eid was celebrated over the weekend despite many parts of the world remaining in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans and stars alike had to celebrate the auspicious occasion differently to previous years. Salman Khan, in particular, had to abandon his annual tradition of greetings his fans outside Galaxy Apartments due to him currently isolating at his farmhouse in Panvel. However, His father Salim Khan remains at their Bandra residence during the lockdown.

Salim was asking how he felt about Salman’s absence and he replied, “He has been spending a lot of time there. I just spoke with him today on the phone and we exchanged wishes. We are always in touch with each other through our regular phone calls.” Salim further added that there was no special dish being prepared to celebrate Eid, “Bilkul nahi, buss regular khaana hi bann raha hai (Not at all, only regular food is being made).”

Meanwhile, Salman’s bodyguard Shera, a member of the superstar’s security for more than 25 years, shared a picture with him and wished fans Eid Mubarak, reports DNA India. In an Instagram post, Shera said that Eid is incomplete for him without Salman. He wrote, “My EID is never complete without my Maalik @BeingsalmanKhan. Eid Mubarak to all of you, enjoy with your family at home. #EidMubarak #SalmanKhan #Beingsheraa #Sheraa #Stayhomestaysafe.”

And due to the pandemic, Salman was unable to release a film on Eid like he normally does. So he instead opted to release his third single titled ‘Bhai Bhai’ – a song about secularism and brotherhood.
