Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s father-in-law Azeez Rehman Khan, 65 was pushed down by his nephew from the fourth floor of a building following a heated argument in suburban Andheri, Mumbai.

The incident took place earlier today when the deceased who resided in Saurabh apartment’s ‘H’ wing, had gone to his brother Qalid Khan’s house in ‘F’ wing in the same compound. A heated argument ensued with Qalid’s son Shahzeb Khan, who in a fit of rage pushed Azeez from the fourth floor at around 10:30am.

Preliminary probe suggests that Azeez and Qalid allegedly had a property dispute which might have caused the incident, police said.

“When Azeez had gone to the house of his brother Qalid and rang the door bell yesterday, Qalid’s younger son attended the door stating his father was not at home,” Versova police inspector P More said.

Incidentally in 1993, Nadiadwala’s ex-wife and actress, Divya Bharti fell to her death from a five-storey Versova apartment building in Mumbai. Whilst at the time of her death there was speculation that she had been pushed by someone, others said it was accidental. Mumbai Police failed to find evidences and closed the investigation in 1998.
