Filmmaker Nagraj Manjule has denied reports that he refused to help Karan Johar, who wants to remake his South Indian hit film ‘Sairat’ (2016).
“From where are these reports coming from? I feel it’s a joke because we didn’t have a conversation about this,” Pinkvilla reports Manjule expressing.
He went on to add, “And any sensible person would help if he has been asked to. I have never met Karan Johar, but I would love to meet him and I love his movies. This is untrue.”
Johar will rope in Shashank Khaitan to direct the remake, which will also mark the acting debut of Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar.
