In true big fat style, Bollywood’s couple-of-the-moment tied the knot yesterday. Their registry was followed by a gala reception dinner which was attended by manyfrom the film fraternity. It has emerged that the Dawat-e-Walima, which takes place tomorrow, will take on a Mughal theme.
The event is said to be taking place in a government bungalow and every detail is being seen to by Khan’s mother, yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore. Tipsy Anand, from Good Earth – an event management company – has revealed, according to NDTV, “We are decorating the entire place. The theme is off-white and gold with mogra flowers. We have a stage set up inside and it is all going to be in mughal style. We have used antique props, about 200 years old for the decoration”.
Designer Manish Malhotra has revealed that Kapoor will be seen in a pink gharara or a pink-blue or green sari whereas Khan will adorn a Raghavendra Rathore design.
Antique props are being used in keeping with the theme and security surrounding the venue has been heightened.
