Saif apologised to Kangna on text after nepotism comments

It seems the nepotism row that erupted during IIFA last weekend shows no sign of waning after it emerged that Saif Ali Khan took to traditional text messaging to apologise for his comments.

Khan, along with Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan indirectly made a mockery out of the nepotism controversy, which involved Ranaut during her meet with Johar on his ‘Koffee With Karan’ show.

Talking to FirstPost, Khan said, “I respect Kangana tremendously for what she’s achieved, for coming up the hard way. We’re a mutual admiration society. She also agrees that despite having illustrious parents, I too have had an uneven beginning in Bombay. I understand what Kangana means by her stance on nepotism, though I have a slightly different take on it. People knew who I was because of my parents but that didn’t necessarily give me an easy ride. Look at the spate of terrible movies I’ve starred in and you know that phase lasted for a long while.”

In an interview with India Today Television, Khan admitted that he had text his ‘Rangoon’ (2017) co-star.
