Raja Menon had announced last year that he will be remaking the American film ‘Chef’ (2014) by Jon Favreau, with Saif Ali Khan as lead. Shooting has already commenced and the team were due to fly to New York, but this has now been postponed.

According to Bollywood Hungama, due to the extreme cold climate at the moment in New York, Menon decided against it. Instead they will continue to shoot in Mumbai. Also for the the next few weeks, Khan will be shooting with his onscreen son Svar Kamble in Mumbai.

Menon revealed the reason why he wanted to press on with shooting was because he was told that New York only gets six hours of light at this time of year. Apparently, it is not a long shoot schedule, according to Menon, as they will be taking off for the same only for four to five days. It’s been said that the montage and climax of the film will both be shot in New York.
