Saif Ali Khan will be ‘Airlift’ director’s chef?

As recently reported by BizAsia, it was being rumoured that after the success of ‘Airlift’, filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon had decided to replace Saif Ali Khan with his ‘Airlift’ star Akshay Kumar in Bollywood’s ‘Chef’ (2014) remake. However, news now has it that it is indeed Ali Khan who will essay the principal role in the film.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, a source confirmed, “He (Saif Ali Khan) embodies the character. He has an uber cool attitude that appeals to urban sensibilities and the requisite experience to pull off this multi-layered role. He is a father himself and is at the right age to step into Favreau’s shoes.”

The film will apparently be shot over a scale of three months, and the remainder of the cast is yet to be finalised.
