Hrithik Roshan launches book for father

Saif Ali Khan has shared a great working rapport with director duo Abbas-Mustan after working with them in Race (2008) and Race 2 (2013). The directors were all set to reunite with their favourite actor until Khan decided to walk out of the film, citing its similarity to the Race۪ films as his reason.

Initially I was excited about it but later I realised that it۪s similar to the Race movie genre with twists and turns, same hero, similar kind of a world and acting_ I should have been clearer earlier but the truth is that I was excited before because my nature is to like such films but on second thoughts, I thought that it needs to be something totally different_ It should be something new and fun,۝ Khan told Absolute India.

The Abbas-Mustan directed thriller, to be produced by Sunil Kheterpal, is apparently based on the French novel The Count of Monte Cristo۪. The Bollywood adaptation was to star the legendary Amitabh Bachchan alongside Saif Ali Khan. It is not known if the directors will shelve the project or approach another actor in Khan۪s place now.
