While there are rumours that Sajid Khan is considering a sequel to Humshakals۪ (2014), it can be quite safely assumed that actor Saif Ali Khan will not be a part of the sequel. The actor has gone on record to say that he considers signing the film an absolute mistake.
The film didn۪t have a script as such, it was all there in Sajid۪s mind. I did whatever he asked me to. The film was very regressive. In fact, while watching it, I asked myself what I was doing in it. I knew I had let my fans down and underestimated their intelligence. I۪ve been introspecting a lot and will never repeat a mistake that was Humshakals۪, Saif Ali Khan told Deccan Chronicle.
Though the film did quite good business at the box office, it received harsh reviews from the critics and was tagged as a disaster. This was Sajid Khan۪s second consecutive film to receive flack, after his 1980s remake, Himmatwala۪ (2013).
Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in his own production, Happy Ending۪, which also stars Ileana D۪Cruz and is set to release later this year.
