Saif Ali Khan on why he refused ‘Race 3’

Having been a part of the first and second film, it came to a surprise when reports went around stating Saif Ali Khan wouldn’t be a part of the third ‘Race’ film. The actor has now revealed the reason behind his decision of not being involved in ‘Race 3’.

“I didn’t feel a connection myself with the part I was offered. So, I decided to do something else,” Koimoi reports Khan expressing.

Whilst talking to the media, he explained how he feels Salman Khan is the perfect fit for the role instead. “(Producer) Ramesh Taurani said I’m making a completely different movie this time with a totally different story. I was offered a part but Salman Khan is the best thing to happen to anybody. He’s the biggest star in the country,” he explained.

In the meantime, Khan (Saif Ali) is in the midst of promoting his latest release ‘Kaalakaandi’, where he will be seen in a very different light. Already having been praised by his peers for is performance, the film promises to be a big hit. Directed by Akshat Verma, the film is set to hit the big screens on 12th January.
