Saif Ali Khan reading script for Vipul Shah’s next?

With his last film directorial dating back to 2010 with ‘Action Replayy’, Vipul Shah has been sticking to only producing since, until now. If news is to be believed the film maker will be getting his camera rolling again soon, with a drama film based on the medical field. Furthermore, there are whispers as to who will be playing the lead role.

As Mumbai Mirror reports, the film, which addresses the issues of human testing, has been offered to non other than Saif Ali Khan. Despite not completely rejecting the claims, when asked, Shah simply decided not to comment on the matter.

The report further goes on to explain, how the idea of the story came to the film maker when he read an article back on 2009 about how human testing in the medical field is growing into a market. Talking about why the film has only surfaced now, Shah explained, “The project kept getting delayed but it’s a story waiting to be told.”

Addressing the story of the film in detail, he went on to reveal, ““The facts are real. It’s the story of a doctor who stumbles on this conspiracy which is a work of fiction.”

Having stepped onto the sequel bandwagon in the past, when Shah was asked if he’d want to have a second film for this project, he explained, “That would depend on how it fares. I don’t plan a film with a franchise in mind. It would be difficult to take this forward but you never know.”

In the meantime, Shah is busy preparing for the third instalment of the ‘Force’ (2011) franchise. “We are hoping to roll with it by the year end. Demonetisation did hit the business of Part 2 (‘Force 2’ (2016)but it was still appreciated for its performances, style and scale. And the ‘Force’ is still with us,” he explained.
